DOG TOWN THE CANINES OF VENICE BEACH
Dog Town is a street photography project about dogs in Venice Beach,
California. The book is named after "Dogtown," a neighborhood in West Los Angeles
which included the slums of Venice and Ocean Park in Santa Monica, in the
1960s and 1970s. Dogtown surfers and skateboarders were known for

real dogs of all breeds and social statuses invade
Venice Beach. The dogs photographed in this book often kiss the rich
Dogtown skateboard culture. American photographer Dotan Saguy and his
Leica cameras delight us with many light moments,
eccentric and moving, captured with great love and compassion for
Dogs and their environment from Dogtown. This book is a modern homage to
