Connected by their patterns, like pieces of a large cartographic puzzle, They create continuities of landscapes and horizon lines which allow a journey of the gaze through the regions of France. A chain of improbable mountains were formed in which the peaks of the Pyrenees coexist with those of the Alps and the Massif Central. The coastline has developed by successive collages of images of seasides where the Atlantic coasts could border those of the Channel or the Mediterranean. Bridges of different generations cross the map, as do roads, tracks railways or rivers.
