Frédérique Bertrand gives us access to the daily life of a couple, watched by
the wear and tear of time, but which does not lack resources.
meeting the sharing of domestic tasks, it is all the complexity of the
relationship and the family framework that is set in motion. And when the objects
come to life, they come to confuse this life in which the characters
seek to exist. Trapped by the desire to love and be loved, they lose
sometimes their forms, sometimes their composure. They search for words as they go
pages and are often on the verge of breaking. They nevertheless seem to remain
deeply attached to each other…for better or for worse.
Alternating between drawings, paintings and handwritten texts, this long sequence of moments,
of a graphic richness nourished by the many experiences of Frédérique
Bertrand, gives birth to a polymorphic story. Between farce, drama, comedy,
absurd… it is a whole almost theatrical palette which is summoned for
dissect our relationships with others alone or in pairs.
Borrowing the codes of comics as much as of calligrams, the writing
