Politics / Power offers an overview of the artistic and activist work
founder of Ringgold and its historical context during these years, including
including testimonies from the artist herself. During the 1960s and
1970, Faith Ringgold, a dedicated and passionate civil rights activist,
made her voice heard as a feminist and within the Black Arts Movement. Her work
influential expresses his in-depth knowledge of art history and art
contemporary, as well as his activism. Covering mediums such as the
painting, cut-out paper works, posters, collages and art
textile, the works presented in this publication highlight the
explicitly political pieces by the artist, for which she deployed
