Wild West

From low-end western pockets, Barthélémy Schwartz plays his manner of a situationist score, and introduces into the band the idea of detachment, working on photographed volume collages. The paper is placed in the abyss; shadows and blur appear; distortions and continuity errors emerge in the depth of field. However, do not believe that it will only be a matter of strolling, filled with sweet nostalgia, in the middle of a stimulating reinvention of outdated images. This comic strip works on a heavy legacy, its scansion is that of a dull indignation: “to speak of the “bloody catalogue of oppression.”
