  • FLUX I is the first chapter of Erwan Frotin's series: a travel diary unique, a cabinet of curiosities of a new kind. Its archives of places, phenomena and organisms, collected during ten years of travel, constitute a true biological encyclopedia. These fragments of nature give us a view the forms of life, as many signs, wonders and questions. Captured in Reunion, Costa Rica and even in the Philippines and in Antarctica, Erwan's photographs are part of an almost anonymous imagination. On the border between documentary and fiction, the Franco-Swiss photographer develops a sculptural approach to objects and bodies. His interpretation Poetics of nature stimulates the observation of our own world within us revealing an unexplored part of our reality. ERWAN FROTIN is a Franco-Swiss photographer. He was born in 1978 in the south of France. In 2002, ERWAN receives the Photography Prize at the Hyères festival. Since then, he has exhibited his work in numerous group exhibitions and exhibitions monographic works in Europe and North America. In particular, he presents his series "Fantastic Challenge" at the French Cultural Center in Milan in 2006 and unveils his series “Strangers” at the M+B Gallery in Los Angeles in 2009 and participated in the Ricard Foundation Prize in 2011. ERWAN devotes his sculptural approach to still lifes and bodies both in editorial commissions and in his works plastics CÉLIA HOUDART is the author of six novels and two essays. Since 2008, she composed with Sébastien Roux plays presented under form of installations or sound experiences. She received the Villa Prize Medicis outside the walls and the Henri de Régnier Prize of the French Academy (2008) for her first novel. She also writes texts and catalogues artists and collaborates with several magazines. She lives in Paris. DAVID LEMAIRE is the director of the Museum of Fine Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He was assistant curator at MAMCO and lecturer in art history at University of Geneva. He is the author of numerous texts on art contemporary. KRIPI MALVIYA is a psychologist, existential psychotherapist and poet. Kripi promotes and facilitates the reciprocal bond and relationship between the creativity and emotional well-being by immersing yourself in the artistic process with the prism of exploring and understanding life. It is witness to Erwan's work for 3 years. She lives in India.
