Hamburg (No. 1)
Hamburg (No. 1)
Hamburg has a cinematic, film-noir style, which fits Brunelli's approach very well. In this edition of 200 photos, we see what the photographer captured while wandering the streets of Hamburg.
\n
\nIntense and dark, Brunelli creates a moody portrait of this city through his encounters with people and animals who also wandered the streets. The result is a witness's point of view; an anonymous itinerant character who looks at the corners and lines of the city, observing and taking in the mystery
\n
\nMade in 2015 as a special commission from the Deichtorhallen photography museum and Flaneur, it was exhibited at the Hamburg Triennale of Photography festival in 2015 on Rathausmarkt square, see the installation section on this site for more info.
\n
\n1st edition printed in 200 copies. This 1st issue of the new collection of Bessard editions; L'Atelier Risographique is dedicated to the black and white photographs taken by Giacomo Brunelli in the city of Hamburg.
