Herd

Harde is a lyrical and baroque novel where the characters of the Commedia Dell'Arte are embodied in a revisited romance with accents of a story initiatory and travel through the ages. The story begins in a dye works producing its own "purrey yellow" from the urine of cows fed on mango leaves. Colombine is a washerwoman aspiring to In flight, Pierrot uses the pigments to draw the portrait of his greyhounds. Their quest for freedom will lead them to meet Harlequin, a falconer non-binary exaltae who will join an adventure taking the trio to new lands of emancipation. Harde is a joyful love triangle or games of domination and power fluctuate. Punctuated by Beth's songs Gordon, this novel explores metamorphosis, mixing realism with wonderful in the manner of Woolf's Orlando or the popular fable.
