STORIES AND GEOGRAPHIES
STORIES AND GEOGRAPHIES
Histoires et géographies is the first book devoted to the artist's work
French Erwan Mahéo. The work is intended as a manual or a guide to
visitor. Each of the works and exhibitions presented is the subject of a
specific text, a series of stories in which memories of
places, situations and descriptions of works that map the route
of the artist. The book is introduced by a text by Lilou Vidal, curator and
former gallery owner of Erwan Mahéo, and by a comparative study of Colette Dubois,
art historian and director of the Centrale for Contemporary Art
(Brussels), on the theater of memory. As part of the program “Worlds
new” (device initiated by the French Ministry of Culture in 2021
for projects intended to invest in heritage), Erwan Mahéo will present
soon the La Sirène project, in Belle-île-en-mer and a presentation of the
book is planned in Brussels as well as at the WallonieBruxelles Center in Paris at
autumn
