Atwood has been defending a photographic work for over 40 years
social, close to its subjects, who is interested in those left behind.

highlights for the first time a theme that has been with her since childhood,
that of his love for horses. Traveling around the world to
meet these animals and the people who take care of them, the photographer
seeks a new way to express this bond that unites him to them. Mythical subject
of photography, the thousand-year-old companion of Man, the horse
is here the vector of many themes that are dear to Jane Evelyn Atwood: the
relation to the animal, in its physicality and the representation of their strength, the
freedom of wild horses moving in the great harsh spaces
access, companionship with the trainer, or even the play of light which
operate on them and that only photography is capable of rendering. Beyond the
photographic subject, Atwood focuses on talking about the presence of the animal in
our world and how we live with it. From a broader perspective, Horses
takes us, as is often the case with her, into a territory with blurred borders,
