What are we really seeing? So many questions that every reader will have to ask

real. Eggman, a small egg with short legs and round eyes like
marbles, takes us into an unusual universe where the games of scale, the
trompe-l'oeil and illusion reign supreme. Painting, telescope, window,
staircase, lock, comic book bubbles, circles, squares, dashes dot its
adventures. By mixing identifiable objects and purely graphic elements, José
Parrondo plays with the signs and codes of comics to create a
a delightfully absurd universe full of poetic dissonances, all the while
juggling without restraint with the retina and the intelligence of its readers. For this
album, José Parrondo alternates techniques again: from silent strips in black
and white are added a series of acrylic paintings mixing
drawings, puns and some photographs.
