K-Punk
K-Punk
Reading the K-Punk blog was a must for a whole generation"
(S. Reynolds). This generation is the one that recognized itself in the thinking of
Mark Fisher. This collection compiles fierce and passionate critiques of TV,
cinema (Hunger Games), music (Burial), literature (Ballard, Atwood)
and the political news of his time (2004-2016). Fisher analyzes their
relation to the ideology of late capitalism which (already) associates exaltation
market forces, austerity measures, repressive violence and the
cynicism in culture. Kpunk is the matrix and the most vivid expression of a
thought haunted by precariousness, depression and the desire for revolution.
