The Gesture of Aglaé - Old Edition
The Gesture of Aglaé - Old Edition
Aglaé had announced to her father "I hate all men" and yet, she
will love three: her husband, her lover and her son. In turn, fighter,
passionate, submissive, her destiny is intimately linked to the complexity of her
feelings. LA GESTE D'AGLAÉ traces the journey of a woman who was scorned and then
all-powerful, raised to the skies by becoming the Queen of a devastated country. In
dissecting human relationships, this sentimental comedy delivers a fable
teeming, where the dangers of power always lurk… Anne Simon develops
since 2005 a whole gallery of atypical characters, which we find over the course of
of his publications, thus building a real saga. Aglaé appears for
the first time in PERSEPHONE IN THE HELL (ed. Michel Lagarde 2006), then
regularly in the journals DOPUTUTTO (MISMA editions) and LAPIN (ed.
The Association), as well as in the two volumes of GOUSSE & GIGOT (ed. Misma
2006/2008). A collection is now entirely devoted to her. Around her,
we find the recurring actors specific to the universe of Anne Simon, Henry
the Horse, the horse that dances the waltz, to Boris, the potato child…
