The Agency

Created by French artist Philippe Thomas, the communications agency called readymades belong to everyone®, for its American version launched in 1987 in New York, and the ready-mades belong to everyone®, for his version French, is an entrepreneurial structure behind which disappears the artist. MAMCO owns the entirety of this agency, which has ceased operations in 1995. This book is the first systematic and comprehensive study of this enterprise. which radically questioned the figure of the author. The work contains also the last unpublished interview with Philippe Thomas which allows us to understand the deep coherence of his artistic project.
