Landscape #1 Institute For Land And Environmental Art is a new series of publications edited by Johannes M. Hedinger and Hanna B. Hölling for the Institute for Land and Environmental Art (ILEA). It focuses on theory, history, and new trends in peripheral, rural, and alpine landscape art. The book is divided into three parts: the dossier includes a collection of text excerpts related to theoretical and historical reflection on landscape; the essay section presents writings, articles, interviews, and artistic contributions from the ILEA network; and this catalogue offers an overview of the Art Safiental open-air biennial and the Alps Art Academy international summer school in 2016 and 2018.
