The Atlas in motion
The Atlas in motion
Mathieu Pernot delivers here a new vision of exile where "migrants"
regain their identity and their humanity. Some of the works presented
were in fact born from a direct collaboration with the exiles themselves: a
Syrian astrophysicist reconstructs the celestial vault of his journey, a botanist
comments on the botanical plates of plants from around the Mediterranean, etc.
To the great diversity of documents (photos, notebooks, videos, engravings, drawings)
two texts signed by renowned writers are added: the historian of
art Roland Recht and historian Patrick Boucheron.
Exhibition at the Mucem this summer.
