  • The sky as a workshop - The exhibition is accompanied by a richly illustrated catalogue illustrated which places the work of Yves Klein in its historical context and highlights perspective the sources of inspiration and the permeability between his research and those of German, Italian and Japanese contemporaries. \nUnpublished essays art historians develop the main themes of the exhibition. Emma Lavigne, president of the Palais de Tokyo and curator of The exhibition explores the quest for immaterial sensitivity that runs through the performative dimension of Yves Klein's work and in particular his Diary of a Day. Luca Massimo Barbero, director of the Institute of History of the Giorgio Cini Foundation and associate curator of the collection Peggy Guggenheim of Venice examines Lucio Fontana's central role in the approach to space among artists of this period. Yuko Hasegawa, artistic director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT), discusses the relations between Yves Klein and the aesthetics of the Japanese avant-gardes around the concept of emptiness. Antje Kramer-Mallordy, lecturer at the University Rennes 2, analyzes the unifying role of exhibitions in collaboration between Yves Klein and the ZERO movement. \nFrédéric Migayrou, deputy director of the Museum National Museum of Modern Art in charge of industrial creation, questions Yves Klein's emblematic Architecture of Air, a project for a conquest of space through sensitivity, with regard to the architectural utopias of the post-war period. \nAmong the authors who contribute their expertise to this work by analyzing the specific intersections of the works of Yves Klein and certain Among his peers, we find in particular Valérie Da Costa, Hélène Guenin, Noémi Joly, Giovanni Lista, Florence de Mèredieu, Aomi Okabe, Sophia Sotke or Dominique Stella.
