Le Corbusier. Catalogue of drawings 1917-1928, Volume II
Between 1902 and 1965, Le Corbusier produced several thousand drawings, often
of rare beauty. AAM Editions, in collaboration with the Fondation Le
Corbusier, began publishing them in four volumes in 2019.
The second volume covers the beginnings of his pictorial activity (1917-1928): the
early Parisian years (urban landscapes and “little women”),
the adventure of Purism with Ozenfant and the exploration of the universe of objects, the
discovery of the music hall and the fascination for the female nude, with delicate
watercolors, and the beginning of compositions with objects with poetic reaction
