The waffle maker
The waffle maker
The waffle iron (also called "waffle mold" when it designates the utensil or
that it becomes an invective in the mouth of a certain sailor) is a
expression used by Hergé to designate the grid of images which cuts up the
comic strip board. Hussenot takes hold of the concept to create
infinite and playful variations until exhaustion: characters and settings are the
struggle with it, endure it, get entangled in it or cruelly free themselves from it or
happily.
