The power of intimacy

Returning to Christine Delory-Momberger's photographic triptych, EXILS/RÉMINISCENCES (published in April 2019 by Arnaud Bizalion), the writings collected here continue and reveal the process of investigation initiated by the photographer on the territories of the intimate. They show in particular how the sphere of the intimate constitutes a new source of investigation and gives rise to new forms of image writing which challenge boundaries commonly received from documentary photography. This publication accompanies “ The general states of photographic creation” organized within the framework of the Photo Doc Fair on April 24-25-26, 2020.
