THE THIRD JOURNEY OF THE DOMES / CLERMONT-FERRAND

The “Pour suites” collection looks at the future of Europan projects that have has gone beyond the idea competition stage to move towards realization. Christophe Boyadjian and Patrice Prevel, partners of the Atelier de ville en ville, are nominated in 2002 on the Clermont-Ferrand site during the sixth session of Europan. "The third journey of the domes", their proposal, lists a series of emergences along the axis defined by the streets Kessler and Rabanesse. Six orange towers signal, structure and punctuate the renovation of the district, student area close to the city center about to receive the tramway. After 20 years of urban studies, the Third Voyage of the Domes leads to the construction of two housing complexes and a profound redefinition of the public spaces in the neighborhood.
