The Ghosts of Syracuse

On the winding roads leading to Syracuse, a red car cuts through the air gloomy. The driver, Matteo, a mycologist by profession, goes to the city from his childhood to give an important conference. But between the meeting With a disturbing hitchhiker and an unexpected road exit, nothing happens goes normally. Finally arriving at his destination, Matteo rediscovers a city of Syracuse transformed. Met on his path, the botanist Grazia seems to detach herself from this world of ghosts where the time and space obey strange rules… For their first collaboration, the two authors offer a mafia story tinged with absurdity and fantasy in which the seriousness of the themes addressed are counterbalanced by the softness of Duffour's drawing and the dreaminess of the screenplay by Alexandre Kha.
