its sources of economic and political tensions.
Through a selection of texts, current or historical, the object of this work
aims to highlight and put into perspective the notion of luxury by emphasizing its
issues, its sources of economic and political tensions, its social springs
and aesthetic, while recalling the importance that luxury has within a
civilization as if the mere act of covering our needs was insufficient
