The Trumpets of Death
The Trumpets of Death
A gripping and fantastic initiatory tale, which deals with the relationship
conflict between a grandfather and his grandson.
One rainy night, Antoine is parachuted into his grandparents' house, who
live in an isolated house in the middle of the forest. Stuck between a grandmother
who is looking after him and a grandfather who is openly hostile to his presence, the boy
desperately waiting for news from his parents. Time passes slowly,
until the day Antoine accompanies his grandpa mushroom picking...
The Trumpets of Death touches several sensitive chords of our times,
the relationship between generations to our disrupted relationship with nature.
Antagonisms take shape there and the tensions that result from them take the form
of a terrible hunting party.
