The action of L'Orfèvre takes place in Paris. The social climate is explosive between demonstrations and riots. Like Blacksad or Maus, the characters are anthropomorphic animals. The story having two entry points, the book has so not one but two covers! No matter which path you take, you will be immersed in the heart of the investigation. Entrance right Inspector Hippolyte Cisife arrives at the scene of a crime. While the police are overwhelmed, a series of abominable murders occur. On the spot, next to the corpse, one finds the identity card of the wife of a wealthy businessman: Faustinien Gaston. The latter mentions relations between his wife and an activist group...
