Yu-Kon, ken takakura ("melancholic soul")

憂魂、高倉健Melancholy Soul, Ken Takakura - A complete renewal of the "Phantom Book", made in 1971 but never published in bookstores. An impressive 370 pages edited by Tadanori Yokoo, including still photos of actor Ken Takakura taken by Tsutomu Endo, as well as precious private photos and snapshots. In addition, it includes works by Hideko Hosoe, Yoshihiro Tachiki, Daido Moriyama, Kenji Ishiguro and other magnificent photographers, as well as an interview with Ken Takakura and a timeline of Tadanori Yokoo. The original, long difficult to obtain, has been reprinted under the direction of Tadanori Yokoo. Using the latest high-precision printing technology, the photographs are reproduced more vividly than the originals, and new illustrations have been added to make this a valuable edition, housed in a beautiful slipcase. A leaflet containing an afterword by Tadanori Yokoo, production notes, and a newly written essay is included as an appendix.
