Operation Cracoucass
Operation Cracoucass
Operation Cracoucass by Tofépi Bruce, an inspector who works at the APJR (
Albums Lent Never Returned) goes in search of a comic book borrowed in 1975.
A major investigation will take him around the world. At the same time, Tofépi composes a
classic adventure story and a meta homage to popular comics. This album is
a declaration of love to comics as much by its graphic style, independent heir to the
"big nose" style, which through its story where humor and adventure are mixed in the
tradition of the great Belgian masters. In the 2010s, Tofépi drew
many mini-stories for “Le Journal de Spirou”: mini comics to cut out
themselves appeared in 1958 in the newspaper with the first adventure of the
Smurfs. In Operation Cracoucass that L'Articho is republishing, Tofépi makes
tribute to comics for all audiences. The Coco Comics collection claims this
heritage. The album is augmented by a new mini-mini-story. Yes indeed! a book
even smaller to cut out yourself. Here too it is a question of books and
suspense since this micro-book of which you are the hero tells the story of a
gang that steals bookmarks and demands a ransom from you to reveal the
number of your page!
