  • Thinking with the border - Sophie Djigo is a field philosopher. Caught up by news from the Franco-British border, not far from which she teaches philosophy, conducts surveys among people in exile, Calais, London but also Paris – La Chapelle and Brussels. \n \nBastien Deschamps is a traveling photographer. Since 2015, he has taken to the road and devotes himself to photography full time. He claims his practice of photography as a geopoetics by addressing social issues through the prism of raw feeling. \n \nThrough their words and images, Sophie Djigo and Bastien Deschamps offer us a glimpse of what is happening at borders of Europe by focusing their gaze along the Evros River which separates Turkey and Greece. They invite us together to think with the border. Crossing the river then means experiencing the finer nuances from reality to the borders, where a whole series of paradoxes are tied together, including the philosophy attempts to account for this by readjusting thought to reality.
