Question of color
Question of color
"Color or black and white?" In 1962, young Joel Meyerowitz did not know
although this question from the film seller will plunge him into intense
aesthetic reflections. Nourished by his passionate discussions with his friends
photographers Tony Ray-Jones and Garry Winogrand, Meyerowitz seeks his
vocabulary and begins to photograph in parallel with two cameras, one
for black and white, the other for color. Based on the images
twins born from this surprising practice, Meyerowitz brilliantly recounts his
years of apprenticeship, those of one of the great pioneers of photography
color.
