Risomania
Risomania
As digital printing techniques appear increasingly
essential, many creators choose to return to techniques
more traditional ones, which they are bringing up to date. Thus, in the same way as
screen printing a few years ago, risography is making a resounding comeback
on the global creative scene.
This book is a dive into the world of "riso" and techniques
close. First recalling the history of techniques based on the stencil and
the duplicate, the authors then focus on risography and the
mimeography.
Risography is a multi-color printing technique using the process
simple: it is by passing the sheet several times through the printer, with
each time a different drum, which we superimpose several layers of
colors.
The authors present the main creative studios currently using
these techniques, from London to Tokyo via Chicago and Paris. They put
in front of creators and extraordinary achievements throughout a
real art gallery. Finally, they guide readers step by step through the
steps preceding printing (choice of paper, colors, etc.) and their
provide advice.
Both an inspirational book, a technical manual and an overview of a phenomenon
amount, Risomania is the first French title devoted to the subject!
-> A work with a broad spectrum: both a technical guide and a gallery
of inspiration and theoretical reference
-> The first French title dedicated to risography
-> A real trendy phenomenon: these printing techniques are used
currently by the most prestigious artists
