P. is a loner, he has to live with his neuroses. So all aspects of
its existence are regulated to the millimeter. Everything is in its place, in order and
tidy. His coffee, above all, must be hot and well filtered. His little comfort
staff is based on sequenced rituals. Everything was going well
until Röhner arrives. When this distant acquaintance arrives at the
home, his daily life turns into a real hell. The worst thing is that this

consequently all possible and imaginable scenarios to get rid of a
once and for all from this unwanted guest. Reality is then distorted
rhythm of his fatal fantasies. The clear, schematic and geometric line,
which fits perfectly with the protagonist's universe, then stands
episodically more abstract and expressionist forms. Max Baitinger,
of which Röhner is the first book translated into French, practices the delicate art of
deadpan humor and peppers his story with graphic finds and
daring narratives. He is one of the few young authors who
breathe a breath of fresh air into the world of German comics.
