moved me a lot. A bronze human being was moving forward, we

Sometimes, we stop in front of a work, we feel very moved, and it goes
accompany you throughout your life. This is the first work I saw of
Giuseppe Penone, it was called A Path of Charm." In a short text
and precise, Giuseppe Penone explains his artistic approach and more
specifically the links it maintains with the elements which surround it such as

sculpture work is not a work of speech, it is a work of
matter, [...]. My work, deep down, is a work of wonder, by
relation to reality, relation to matter." By focusing on the
materiality of sculpture in his work, it allows us to follow his hands
and to enter – literally – into bronze, wood and the breath of the wind.
Both poetic and practical, these pages take us on the paths of one
of the most striking creators of his time.
