SKINNINGROVE
Chris Killip is widely regarded as one of Britain's foremost photographers
most influential. Skinningrove is the last publication Killip has
worked before his death in 2020. Known for his passion for books by
photography, he supervised all the elements of this book, which presents
many unpublished images. We are very proud to present this
unique publication in the world. Born on the Isle of Man in 1946, he began his
career as a commercial photographer before devoting himself to his own work.
in the late 1960s. His book "In Flagrante", a collection of
photographs taken in the North East of England in the 1970s and
in the early 1980s, is now recognized as a reference work

wondered about my presence, he intervened and vouched for me in
saying, "He's OK." That simple approval was enough.
