In 1977, the most punk band in the world was probably not the Sex Pistols, The Damned or The Clash, but an electronic rockabilly duo from the deep in the Brooklyn area, physically intimidating, symbolizing by its musical creation the social and architectural decay of the Big Apple. Equipped with an old dance drum machine, a Farfisa organ coupled with a few basic effects, and a microphone soaked in monstrous reverb and a ghostly echo, Suicide has spawned minimalist, chaotic and epileptic.
