On a silent path
Built in the 1960s, the Kalliste Park city is located in the
northern districts of Marseille. In June 2019, just after the announcement of the
demolition of building B as part of a renovation project, Étienne de
Villars begins photographic work in the city. On a silent path
(Parc Kalliste, Marseille) pays particular attention to the young people of the neighborhood. The
The book follows their movements between the concrete space of the city and the hills
around. These movements are punctuated by portraits: the time of a pose,
the lens leaves all the space to their gaze.
