The Joke - New Edition
The Joke - New Edition
Mark Edward Smith was born on March 5, 1957 in Prestwich, five miles north of
Manchester. Charismatic, duck-voiced singer from The Fall – small
iconic Krautpunk band from the 70s with a
discography of around forty albums, Mark E. Smith is a character
surprising, defying all logic and seeming to be able to express itself only
by: "You're fired" or even by the mysterious "The Joke". With this verve
both graphic and subjective, which never ceases to delight the readers of Le Canard
Chained and from Charlie Hebdo, Luz paints an endearing portrait in The Joke
of a man struggling with his contradictions, his excesses and his deviations. This
The new version has been expanded by around fifteen new pages and has been
featuring a brand new cover designed by Cizo.
