The Neighbors
The Neighbors
Thanks to a couple of friends who decided to return to live in France, a man
only finds an apartment in New York, right in the heart of Manhattan. From the
first weeks, mysterious noises escape from a neighboring dwelling.
Intrigued, the man decides to find out the identity of his neighbors,
questions the concierge and gathers clues both real and imaginary...
Like a minimalist puzzle, The Neighbors evokes these big cities where we live
crowded together, without knowing each other and rarely crossing paths more than once.
Parallels, perpendiculars, piles of boxes… the geometry of

As refined as they may be, these boxes contain their share of stories while the
noises behind the thin partitions are weighted with mystery. Laurent Cilluffo and
Jeff Gomez met when they were living in New York. This is their
first book at The Association.
