The Polaroid Kid - At the age of 17, Mike Brodie left home, jumping
on a freight train to Jacksonville, Florida. His first trip
lasted a little more than a few days, but was the beginning of a journey of a lifetime.

In 2004, Mike Brodie began producing a sprawling reportage of
his journey on the rails across the expanse of North America, alongside
of a tight-knit community of young punks and hobos, all looking for
the authentic experience of a life less ordinary. \n \nThis new
collection of masterfully reproduced Polaroids was made by Brodie
when he traveled under the name The Polaroid Kid. \n \nThe 50 Polaroids are
presented in a custom-made screen-printed grey cardboard case, secured with a
Heavy gauge elastic - a design inspired by the punk ethos that drives the
people photographed and by the utility train cars in which
they travel.
