TOT - In recent years, Ricardo Cases' photographic work has focused on representing the particularities of the landscape, the precise impact of human behavior on it and, consequently, the nature of the people who inhabit and modify it. He focuses on his immediate geographical environment (the city of Torrent, in Valencia), adopting different strategies in his search for the photographic gesture capable of encapsulating a given place in order to understand and transmit it fully.

\nMade between January and June 2019 along the 15 km line separating his house from his daughter's school, TOT responds to a double concern: on the one hand, the family and professional limits of a photographer's life; on the other hand, the limits of the language of photography itself.

\nThis new book is formulated as a puzzle pieced together from a part of one person's life: that of a father who is also a photographer. His work day begins with the photos he takes of his daughter on the way to school, both in the car and at the entrance. What follows is an adventure in which he reveals both the landscape they encounter and his hopes and frustrations in trying to capture it photographically.
