This vibrant and fun tea towel features Whiskey's acrylic on linen painting "Seven Sistas", 2018. A functional and colorful addition to your kitchen, or as wall art to brighten up any space. \n \nAbout the artist \nBorn in Indulkana, a remote Aboriginal community on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) lands in South Australia, Kaylene spent her childhood immersed in 1980s pop culture. Evoking the familiar gestures of everyday life, her paintings use vibrant colours that render pop stars in a flat pictorial space, connecting with Whiskey’s own life in rural Australia. Whiskey seamlessly creates comic book-like worlds on her canvas that are instantly nostalgic and captivating. She is part of the talented Iwantja Arts collective, the Indulkana community’s art centre.
