thirty homemade barbecues - This book brings together thirty drawings of homemade barbecues made between 2018 and 2021 by Antoine Séguin. I discovered each of these barbecues at friends' houses, in the street, campsites, on construction sites, at demonstrations, in parking lots, in vacant lots, in squats... From photographs taken on site, I drew the geometries of these barbecues freehand with a precision felt-tip pen on tracing paper or paper. My drawings are inspired by the covers of instructions for commercially available barbecues, but also by assembly instructions for flat-pack furniture. These thirty barbecues are unique pieces, made from various materials, most of them recycled. My drawings are a tribute to the ingenuity of their designers and manufacturers.
