Fräneck's drawings are a graphic crack that creeps in everywhere
around us, and proliferates without our knowledge, as well on posters, in the
press, cultural places as well as monumental objects or frescoes
murals. In two previous books published by ION, Les Maisons and Casanier, Fräneck,
revolved around the traditional house (small windows, bricks and
gable roof), and described its instability. In this new book, he
enters inside the walls. And problems appear in every room,
more or less mysterious. The pieces of everyday life that are scattered over the course of
pages, from the entrance to the cellar, including the kitchen, the bedrooms, the
laundry room, toilets... despite the playful and bright colors, seem
hide a riddle... Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to live there
after all?
