Visionary On Hilma Af Klint - Hilma af Klint's works have taken the
international art world, more than a hundred years after their creation. At the turning point
of the 20th century, the new spiritual and social movements of theosophy,
and then anthroposophy, inspired the pioneers of modernism and art
abstract as Kandinsky, Mondrian, Malevich and Hilma af Klint. What was
the spirit of the times that inspired such an artistic explosion? \n \nIn 2018,
the exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York Hilma af Klint: Paintings for the
Future presented to the general public the abstract mystical masterpieces of the
Swedish painter Hilma af Klint (1862-1944). Based on a seminar held at
Guggenheim Museum at the opening of this renowned exhibition, this volume brings together
essays by contributors to the seminar as well as reproductions of works,
archival photographs and images from af Klint's magazines.
