Crossing almost three centuries of Argentine history, between 1740 and
Today, is a great fresco mixing horror, comedy, animism, powers
feminine and witchcraft. is composed of nine stories whose common thread is the
presence of three sisters with magical powers, from the colonial period -
during which they are midwives and secretly perform abortions
- until today. The story of this mysterious trio is revealed over the course of these
stories where we see the three witches having directly or indirectly a
significant impact on the lives of many people. Each story has a
clean atmosphere, but we find recurring themes: fight against
sexual violence within the church, empowerment of women in the
couple relationships or even the fight against patriarchy. After winning the
Audience Award at the Angoulême Festival in 2023 for, Sole Otero confirms
brilliantly with which she is an important author of the scene
Latin American.
