WHAT THE FINAL FUCK!

Collected during wanderings on the Web, the photographs in the series What the Fuck! come from all over the world. Between personal curiosity cabinet and documentary corpus, What the Final Fuck! offers, like the previous ones, a contemporary vision of amateur photography and questions as much about the place, function and sharing of today's vernacular photography than on the new social relationships that it illustrates. On the networks and the websites from which these photographs come, the acronym WTF precedes often a content to signify the dismay it provokes. This interjection expresses both the incomprehension and the discomfort of the "voyeur" faced with these images. Their accumulation underlines the mad rush to share content "extra-ordinary" for an anesthetized public and raises the question of dilution of meaning.
