\nGeorgia always intended to write a sequel to When the Tomatoes Are Ready, revealing the other half of her heritage: Greek and Cypriot. But working full-time threatened to distract her from her goal. That’s when the world stopped and time was a gift. She booked a one-way ticket to visit family friends in Cyprus and learned to cook at their restaurant. The inspiration for this book came from the same source that fueled Georgia’s last book: her grandparents’ honorable sacrifice for family and their dedication to food.
