Wild Rumors is based on Herman Melville's novel Moby-Dick, or the
sperm whale published in 1851. Considered as a critical tool suitable for approaching the world
contemporary, map of our own movements, reading grid of environments
crossed, this novel constituted the framework and the filter of the shared experience
and research carried out in France and Detroit (Michigan) since 2016. This book
tests and verifies the intuition that Melville's novel, with
his factory ship, his obsessive captain and his disciplined crew
prefigures the world we live in.
