The counterculture monument is back! After a first published volume
in 2020, discover the second era of creative and subversive abundance brought
by Robert Crumb, Gilbert Shelton and the entire pioneering comics team
underground. Zap Comix, a magazine founded by Robert Crumb in 1968, is the figure of
prow of the American counterculture. It was the starting point of a
revolution in comics. All author comics, up to the present day,
finds its origin in Zap, its incredible freedom of tone, its contempt
complete with conventions, and the demonstration made that the comic strip is a
mode of expression as fertile as literature or art. Until 2020,
Zap Comix had never been translated into French. Editions Stara,
specialized in underground comics, have embarked on the adventure of
first French edition of Zap. The first volume collecting issues 0 to
9 was released in the summer of 2020. In this new opus, we present numbers 10
15, originally released between 1982 and 2004, carefully restored,

part of this integral. After half a century, this literary shell has kept
