Anders et le château

It’s autumn in Chiffonville… While the parents enjoy the last sunny days, Anders and his friends embark on a new adventure that will take them from the shelves of the Great Library to the long-forgotten castle of Rochevieille beyond the Forest of Mists. Intrepid, united, organized and ingenious, the little band will need the qualities of each one to take up the challenges which will be proposed to them. For as Maksen, the newcomer, will learn, it is ultimately in adversity that the character of individuals and the strength of the collective are revealed.

After Anders et La Comète and Anders et le Volcan (youth selections of the Angoulême Festival in 2017 and 2019), Anders et le Châteauis the third volume of the adventures of the young squirrel imagined by the Australian author Gregory Mackay. This volume presents a real break in the series: the children have grown and matured, and the parental presence is now a distant and benevolent echo. So it’s time for Anders and his gang to pass on what they’ve learned to their youngest daughter Whinney – Bernie’s cousin – and the new kid, Maksen.
