Instants captured by colored pencils, a diary drawn during the summer of 2015, along the St. Lawrence River in Montreal.
“The confrontation of the immobile heaviness of the river with the lightness of the Hula Hoop, luminous, which whirled around her body, gave an astral side to these hot July days, an intermediate world to our two lives. This brief moment of rest projected us like two stars in the deep night, we tried to ignore that they would disappear at the same time as the summer.”
Born in 1963 in Savoie, artist, activist and graphic designer, Tom de Pékin works for elite journals, cutting edge magazines and co-founded the now defunct Editions des 4 mers. His graphic work is published by many publishers (Derrière la salle de bains, Septembre Editions, United Dead Artists…). For several years he has also directed short films. Tom de Pékin lives and works most of the time in Paris.
